My unfinished learners and I are trying to make math fun again. By creating powerful moments that not only help us make real world connections but also can help us form a long lasting connection to each unit. This year I am starting a new classroom climate where kids can come and find a safe environment to make mistakes in and keep moving. Charging stations are my newest concept that will give kids a few reasons to plug it in one being that their phones are ALWAYS dying but unbeknownst to them when their phones are put away they are focused! Games that require individual and teamwork will create a fun twist to our already busy math schedule. I am so excited to meet my new students this year but even more excited to see what the Class of 2025 can teach me this year!
