Learning a new language is always a challenge, but having the proper equipment in order to accomplish this would be an amazing benefit in their language development. Headphones with microphones are a must when learning a new language using electronic programs. It is said that a person learns a new language with continued auditory and verbal practice. "Learning a language is to have one more window from which to look at the world." -Chinese Proverb Making the classroom a fun learning environment is the ultimate teacher goal for their students. The bean bag chairs would be a fun aspect during small group time. For a lot of my students, it will help them stay on task while at the specified center. Adding flexible seating during a class center creates motivation to stay on task while working in small groups. I truly believe it will create extra excitement.
