I want my students to enjoy and engage listening with reading. I want to give them an opportunity to listen and cooperate with their peers. I have selected materials, supplies, and furniture such as wobble stools for this listening station which will help enrich fluency and encouragement to choose their books of interest. I requested a cd with headsets, plus read a-longs that will engage and encourage independent reading. I love to see their excitement when they go to the library center and find books they love, now can you see incorporating books they can hear, follow along and read along. I want to create a literacy rich environment and provide a listening station that will play music when needed.
