We wholeheartedly believe in the Future Ready Classroom movement's mantra that "every student deserves a rigorous, personalized learning environment filled with caring adults and student agency." These supplies will help my students feel at home in the classroom, cultivating a safe, creative, and flexible space for all learning. I am requesting two Big Joe Milano Bean Bag Chairs to give the students flexible seating choice during Study Hall. The United States and world maps and World Globe will help students learn geography. The Hamlet and Romeo and Juliet No Fear Shakespeare books will enhance students' understanding of English and be used for different literacy learning. We'll use the DYMO LetraTag label maker and Avery Big Tab Insertable Extra Wide Dividers stay organized. All the materials requested will help students in their overall high school careers. Our students take a range of classes while they are in high school. In addition, these items will improve crucial executive functioning skills of organization and planning that we hope to cultivate in our supported study halls Since we run a directed study hall, there are many different subjects that our students are working on in a single class. We have a mix of students in each hour, which means that every student can be working on a different assignment. This project will help our students "get it together" and prepare for their futures.
