These bean bags will allow my students to fulfill their sensory needs by allowing tactile stimulation through touch and feel, making them feel comfortable, and allowing them to feel safe and secure in the classroom environment. Autistic students have difficulty regulating the sensory input they are receiving. Which is why sensory breaks are so important for them. Students with Autism tend to move around a lot and from my experience Autistic students will tilt the chairs backwards while not understanding the dangers that could follow. Bean bags will be used for story time, circle time and much need sensory breaks. Having these bean bags for story and circle time will allow my students to make choices between the type of seats they want to sit it and the color of bean bag they want.
