Flexible seating would create more space for all of my students to feel more comfortable in the music learning environment. This type of seating would also help keep many of my students engaged. I teach a diverse population which includes students with special needs. Some students tend to feel confined when seated in a chair. Being able to sit on a wobble cushion would allow them to have more room and to feel secure. My students with ADD/ADHD would be more engaged while sitting in a chair with a bouncy band to move their feet and sitting on stools would give students more personal space (older students prefer this).
