The requested slanted clipboards, provide optimal arm and wrist positioning for finger control and coordination tasks, such as coloring and writing. This is positioning is extremely important for my students, as they must frequently exert more effort and planning to move their bodies. These items requested, though simple, can and do make a very observable difference in my students' ability to be more independent with their classwork. Additional sandpaper, playdoh, and chalk number and letter activities provide additional opportunities to interact with letters and numbers using multiple senses. Active engagement, play, and repetition truly aid these students in gaining early literacy skills.
