21st century classrooms are on the rise in an abundance of schools and for very good reason. My practice and my students' absorption of knowledge has greatly increased in the last couple of years because of my ability to integrate technology seamlessly into the class. In my new role for the upcoming school year, I will be teaching a sixth grade Inclusion English class, so incorporating an Elmo document camera in my class will really assist me in making learning more accessible to all my students as they can follow along with me as I am teaching core concepts. Since it has many features, such as the ability to zoom in on documents, freeze objects, and even record presentations, I can adapt it to fit the needs of the classroom. Students can also take ownership of their learning by coming to the front of the room to project their work and have other students learn from them. Additionally, having chart paper and an easel to work with will help me create visuals of literary concepts that my students can reference all year in their writing and reading. Your support of this project and donation of these couple of items will make a difference in the way I can teach and reach all my students from day to day. From experience, my students have learned the best from when they could really see what they were being taught and have a chance to interact with it as well!
