It has taken nearly 14 years of experience to learn that middle school students crave routine and order with a little side of chaos. Interactive notebooks are a way for students to stay engaged in all aspects of our day. Reading, writing, and grammar are all organized in one place. This book becomes a treasure and can be used throughout the year on all projects, tests and assignments. The whiteboards will be used daily as a formative assessment tool in class. It allows me to understand who knows the objective and who needs more support. Finally, while 6th graders are small, 8th graders can tower over you. They need their space in class. The chair organizers will allow for them to place their belongings in a safe location during class time.
