As an English teacher, I am constantly writing and modelling how to write for my students. In my classroom I have a computer and a projector and screen to show my students, but I do not have a document camera. In every one of my lessons I model and have a guided practice. My students need to be able to see me working through writing and analyzing a text. I would be able to do this through a document camera, which I project up on the screen and my students follow along with me. My students will benefit greatly from the use of this technology. I also like to have students participate, and they can just come up and write on the paper we are using as a whole class. It just makes it that much more fun and engaging.
