While many children have access to the newest types of technology, most of my students do not even have access to the internet at home. In the past, technology at school consisted of going to the computer lab once a week. However, as technology advances, so too does our children's need for familiarity with it in order to thrive in the work place. iPads might seem like a trivial thing in a classroom, but they are an educational tool that also gives them access to using technology that they otherwise wouldn't have access to. We are requesting 1 iPad and 1 case. With the iPad, the students will practice phonics and math skills while we are doing rotations through apps on the iPad. Students will also be able to listen to stories being read to them and work with QR codes to learn high frequency words. The case will ensure the iPad works for years to come to serve many more students. Thank you for your consideration in providing technology tools for my students..
