School should be a place where students come to feel warmth, happiness, friendship, all while learning and growing. Sherman Elementary School is within the Nampa School District. The Family and Community Resource Center focuses on the whole child and the whole family, while also working closely to foster meaningful relationships with families and the community. Many students face adverse childhood experiences including homelessness, food insecurity, lack of access to health care, or low socioeconomic backgrounds. All of these factors correlate to high levels of stress, forcing students into a state of "fight, flight, or freeze," which makes learning nearly impossible. Please donate to help us eliminate those barriers that students face to ensure they are safe, happy, and know that they are cared for. Thank you.
