My students are bright cheerful fourth graders. They live in the Appalachian Mountains in Eastern Kentucky. Many of my students live below poverty level. They come from homes where their father has lost his job in the coal field. My students have loving parents and grandparents, but many of them do not have the resources to provide a home with an Internet accessible computer. My students attend a school with approximately 350 students. 90% of these students are on free or reduced lunch.
