Students with access to a listening library develop a greater interest in reading, improve literacy skills, comprehension, increased vocabulary and syntax levels. I desire to create a listening center with a variety of stories as diverse as my students. Listening centers involve the use of headphones for students to listen to CD's while reading along with the accompanying book. My students are in need of headphones, CD's and books to use in their listening center. I'd love to see my students benefit through the use of technology. My students will be able to experience a variety of authors, ideas and narratives.
