Yesterday, one of my students with a disability expressed his frustration to the class when the screen of his old school-issued laptop went blank again. A new laptop will help kids with special needs navigate virtual learning easily and productively. It will help them stay connected online and not be bothered by technical difficulties. For kids who are already struggling with their learning disabilities, outdated devices that need constant repairing can be very frustrating. Frustrations in the learning environment often lead these kids to shutdown. And when they shut down, we lose them ... perhaps forever.
