The students of WCES love to read. They love to read current fiction titles as well as nonfiction titles on a variety of topics. Favorite nonfiction topics include football, basketball, scary stories, pets, and biographies. Our current library funding only goes so far. This year, our budget allowed us to update the fiction collection with current titles. This year our budget did not allow us to add high-interest titles to our library's nonfiction collection. When it comes to fostering a love of reading and creating life-long readers, student choice is the number one motivator. Therefore, it is so important to have titles that students WANT to read. At WCES our library is in need of current, high-interest titles to help students develop their love of reading. These books will expand our nonfiction collection, allowing more choice for developing readers.
