Dissecting frogs will provide my students the opportunity to relate our standard, of understanding the relationship between cells, tissues, organs, and organ systems, in a real system. The dissection kits and frogs will provide my students with the necessary tools to complete our project, and will give my students the opportunity to make connections between what they see in scientific illustrations and translate that to real organ systems. This project will provide connections to be made for how cells are organized into tissues, tissues to organs, and the organs a whole organism. This experience will give my students the opportunity to explore science in a new light and leading to new career paths for some including doctor, veterinarian and research scientist.
