All of my students will benefit from having a community rug to share and collaborate with each other. In my classroom setting students will not only use the rug to build community, but it will also be used during independent work time when they can choose their own seating. As well as during independent work time, this will also be a great gathering area for me to demo activities or to have my students lead the class in activities or STEM thinking. Having this flexibility in the classroom allows the needs of all learners to be met as well as creates a welcoming atmosphere.

About my class
