Despite all odds, including the fact that our school almost got shut down by the state, my students are still determined to excel as passionate readers and world shakers. My students are extremely tech savvy and hate the fact that they are told that technology has no place in the classroom. I am here to change that fact! In our day and age paperback books will soon become extinct as people download thousands of books to their e-readers. While the world expands with educational technology, my students are stuck with hand-me-down books that are missing covers, pages, and most importantly, missing interesting content. My students immediately think that reading is boring and only useful to pass a test. My goal is to have my students fall in love with reading by feeling its evolving power through the incorporating of technology!
