As I am about to begin my first year teaching, I have done lots of research on the many benefits of flexible seating. I am hoping to be able to provide my students with some of these options. These options will allow for more collaboration between students! Being able to have seating choices encourages students to find the best spot for them. This allows them to stay more focused and productive! Sitting still in a chair can be hard for my students. I know that even I struggle to sit in a chair after a period of time. This project will provide my students with some options in seating for them to choose around the classroom that will allow them to wiggle and move while still remaining in a seat. We need balance balls, Hokki stools and Soft Seats. I want to be able to create a welcoming, fun and engaging classroom, and the flexible seating will help me to do this!
