My school offers a small media center that doubles as a testing center when needed. Subsequently, students are not always able to go to the media center and rely heavily on my classroom library during Silent Reading. Additionally, I have close to 48 students in my classroom during Silent Reading, which can cause issues based on the current books I do have. This project would benefit them by allowing them to read more recent, high-interest books. They are required to read a certain about of books in a month and this would help them reach their goals. I have chosen these books based on my students, their interests, and the frequency of requests I get for these specific series.
