I have requested Level A and B book sets to include in my classroom library for students who are at the beginning stages of reading. Students who enter first grade at this level tend to be struggling readers, and they already feel negatively about reading because it is hard for them. I would love for all of my students to say, "I CAN read!" and truly believe it. With these leveled sets, my struggling readers will have books at their "just right" level to practice reading independently each day. Building this independence is essential in building their confidence and love for reading.
