Students will build their 3-ring notebook throughout the school year. The "bellringer" section contains the pre-instructional activities students complete upon entering class. These activities assist in practicing recently-developed skills as well as establishing a routine for students. The "daily work" section contains notes and application of each concept taught in ELA. Instruction and practice of longer writing submissions are maintained in the "extended writing" section. The "data" section helps students to monitor their own learning and set learning goals. The "glossary" builds students' academic and content vocabulary. This ELA notebook aides students in excelling in class, prepares them for the GA Milestone and provides a long-term reference tool.
