My middle-school math students will be working in small groups and will have a class period set aside for math reinforcement. Interactive activities, like the Geometry Kits and Pre-Algebra Bingo, used in an accepting, positive environment not only supports intellectual growth but social-emotional growth as well. A one-size-fits-all approach does not meet the needs of our students and I want to support them in all ways possible. By adding colorful, purposeful posters and having access to various math manipulatives will give my students a chance to learn math with various approaches. My classes will have students of differing math levels and having variety will be essential to my classroom.
