My students struggle with basic social skills. They find it difficult to play and work with others. Part of our job is to present opportunities for the students to practice their social skills. The playhouse will help teach them social skills, cooperative learning, life skills, and core vocabulary words. As they learn to share and take turns by playing house they are building their social skills, learning to play cooperatively, and building their vocabularies. Children learn best through play. Having this playhouse will give them authentic learning experiences. They will be taught how to deal with different social situations in the moment.
