Middle school is a time where students are beginning to learn who they are and what they need. Having more seating options will help teach them to be responsible for themselves & their learning. I have had success in giving options with chairs, stools, and the floor. I think adding a movable option will be even more beneficial, especially to the wiggle worms. Wiggle worms are sometimes chastised in other classrooms when they move, but these will allow students to move quietly in their own space without distracting others. I’m looking forward to using them to allow students to get more work done while their body moves.
