My students will not only learn more about their history as Black citizens of the world but will learn to choose, research online and offline and write about historical subjects they find interesting. Collaboration is the key to this project! Our school focuses on the entrepreneurial spirit and what better way than to leverage their own voices than starting a podcast! Once the microphones and mixing equipment are purchased, we are unlimited in the number of topics we can research and produce. The flexible seating will help furnish our in-classroom "studio." Already purchased are Black History flash cards from Urban Intellectuals, which will give us a jumping off point on who and what to study.
