Through these weekly readers, my teaching partner and I intend to integrate science and social studies with reading. We want to accompany the weekly readers with science experiments and interactive videos. We believe Scholastic News will encourage student conversations and responses. We will study world news and events that are age appropriate. This is a wonderful tool that will save us, as their educators, a lot of valuable time. The information will be prepared for us and engaging to our students. Many colleagues that have used the weekly readers have had wonderful success. Your donation will benefit 32 students and allow the teacher to have a copy to use. We hope this learning tool will pique their interest and curiosity!
