In my class, we meet at the carpet several times a day for Interactive read aloud, shared reading, phonics, writers workshop, and math. Currently we do not have a rug. I think the rug I chose for the class will be perfect. It will help organize where they sit and it has cheerful colors to excite their minds. I also need a classroom set of dry erase boards, markers and erasers. These are must-have items for teachers who do not use a lot of worksheets. Phonics is something that most of my students struggle with. I am in need of letter sets so my students can practice building words. The letters I found are perfect because the vowels and the consonants are different colors. I also need an easel for all the anchor charts I am making and teaching from. Finally, I found some sight word poem books that will be fantastic for shared reading. These supplies will be treasured and used daily. My students deserve a literacy rich classroom. I need the supplies to help them succeed.
