It takes a great amount of effort for dyslexic students to learn to read; therefore, these students often give up and lose interest quickly in the process. Many of these students have unique gifts and talents hidden within that can go unnoticed due to the effects of low reading performance. Research provides strong evidence that virtually all dyslexic students can learn to read through explicit, hands-on, multi-sensory approaches if interventions begin before the age of eight. Too often students go unidentified until the gaps become too wide to close. Technology is a powerful tool that engages, motivates, and drives student learning. iPads provide interactive, hands-on activities to struggling readers in order to reach every child's style, interest, and needs while learning to read. What better way to help a child's academic success than providing the gift of reading through technology devices?
