Students at HCCS start off each day with a smile and a "can-do" attitude. Our students are bright and eager to learn. They have a great affinity for knowledge and striving to be the best they can be each and every day they walk through the door. The materials that I have requested are two weather stations, weather journals, sundials and a barometer. As a Title I Charter School having to remain on a restricted budget, we have constructed all of our own weather monitoring equipment from recycled materials. That said, they break fairly often and are sometimes hard to repair. My students understand weather equipment and how it works and I think it is important to integrate technology into our science club, which is what I hope to accomplish through donations. Science and technology is what has continued to advance our society since the dawn of time and continues to today. Please help advance my students and their affinity for science.
