Most of my students come from high poverty areas. They have little experiences with books, let alone books on CD. Every child deserves the opportunity to succeed. Students have a higher success rate if they actually hear and see the book. Our classroom is full of bright-eyed eager to learn kiddos. There are 12 boys and 6 girls. We act as a family during school hours. The kids come to school with many questions. They have learned, just in this short time, to be respectful and help others. I truly value family and run my classroom as one. We are a Charter School in the state of MO. MO currently received state cut-backs in our funds which makes it very difficult to provide materials to our classes. We have a great school where teachers go above and beyond their role to be a positive role model to our students.
