I am a new teacher just beginning to create my own classroom library for the upcoming school year. As a child, my love for learning came through reading and I hope to foster that same love for reading in my students. These books will help me achieve the print-rich classroom that I envision and will be used by students for years to come. The new books will also allow my students to choose from a wide variety of both fiction and non-fiction books that they can read independently. In a co-taught classroom, there are students reading on a wide range of levels and it is important to have books representing all of these levels on our classroom bookshelves.
