The requested composition books, glue sticks and colored pencils will allow students to take notes in a more hands-on way. Many of my students come from low income backgrounds. This should not prevent them from learning important note taking skills, while building their understanding of science. Every day, students will be working in their interactive notebooks to take notes and reflect on the days activity and lesson. These supplies will really invest my students into the scientific field by using their interests to build a bridge from what they like, and the subject that they don't like. Students will be able to creatively take notes to make learning science more enjoyable.
