Having the choice of seats will be beneficial to my students' learning by allowing them to be comfortable. Students spend most of their day sitting in chairs and desks that are not comfortable. It doesn't let them focus and be engaged in the lessons or their own work. Giving students the opportunity to discover which way they learn best helps improve their learning by being able to focus on growing as learners rather than on being uncomfortable. Providing students the opportunity to simply choose how they learn best gives them a voice in their own learning. Flexible seating allows students to identify and choose their best way of learning whether that be by sitting on a stool, a wobbly chair that supports their needs, or a comfortable chair. By meeting my students' basic needs, they will grow as learners.
