The curriculum for this new class has students doing various kinds of math work throughout the week. Because students at this level of math sometimes experience challenges with organization, the best way to ensure that they can keep track of the whole body of their math work is to keep it in class. Traditional folders just don't get the organizational job done, so each student will have their designated "mailbox" in the classroom where they will be able to store their work, both completed and in-progress. One of our mottos is "without struggle there can be no learning," so I have chosen two posters to place nearby that will help remind students that the only way to learn math is to keep trying to do math.
