A listening center will make a difference in my students learning by helping them with listening, comprehension, and fluency skills which are important. With listening centers involving headphones and books on CDs, my students will increase their listening comprehension. Listening to these books will also help students understand fluency by modeling. During reading centers, students will listen to the CDs and be able to make connections between the written and spoken word. The listening center will be used by students to enhance their listening and communication skills. This is particularly valuable for students who do not have English as their first language.
