The materials and supplies that I am requesting for my students already have a "home." In other words, I know exactly where everything will go. I just need help to get it all in my classroom! Students love Scholastic Magazines!! With a new magazine they will be able to curl up in a cozy bean bag chair and escape for a few minutes of their crazy day! The reading "nook" will be set up in the corner of my classroom with the new storage/ bookshelf displaying some great new YA novels and magazines. I try and tell my students that I can find even the most pickiest of readers a good book. Sadly, they don't get much quiet time at home to read and invest in a literary world. My reading nook will give these kids a chance to explore and relax and to see that reading can be enjoyable. I am trying to create a habit that they will continue for the rest of their lives
