We will use the sticky notes, highlighters, pens to help us develop our writing and note taking skills. The color toner and copy paper will help us print out all our projects, including young author books. The class sharpener and pencils will help us be prepared in the morning for the day ahead. The markers and dry erase boards will help us demonstrate our learning to the teacher during math. The clipboards will helps us take notes during our geometry walks where we will get to prove how all buildings have geometric shapes. The headphones will help us minimize distractions to our fellow classmates while we work on our literacy skills with Raz-Kids.
The donations for this project will greatly improve the learning experience of my students by diminishing interruptions, and giving them an opportunity to have the materials necessary for a successful school year.
It is a sad but true reality that not all parents have the financial means to purchase all the school supplies for their children. Coming into this school year I do not want any of my students to worry over whether or not they have all the supplies they need. I want them all to reach their potential, help us get there by providing for their essentials!
