Picture books build perception of math skills through pictures, text, and help students build problem solving skills. Math becomes more interesting when a child can make a math connection in a story. When students are reading or listening to a book, they understand that math is used all around them. Picture books about math can not only explain a mathematical skill, but help solidify it through engaging story lines and colorful illustrations.
