We all know how hard it is to focus when we are down or worked about something. This is the same for students! A bean bag chair for a calm down corner in our classroom will be a huge benefit to my students. It will help to make it a place where students look forward to learning and practicing strategies to deal with big emotions. Academics are so important, but when students are feeling big emotions they cannot learn. I want to help them have a comfortable place where they can learn to work through their feelings, and to support them with healthy habits for life.
