My kinder students will use the playing cards in games such as Making 10, Addition War, Subtracting War, Greater Than, Less Than and number recognition games which will provide them a fun and engaging way to build strong mathematical foundations that will last throughout their lives. These fun and academic games will allow students to meet the Common Core standards and give them confidence and self esteem that is so valuable in kindergarten. Students will have their own set of cards to take home and practice their math skills with their families. The large playing cards will be used in the classroom with small groups and for students that need extra support.
