The Geosciences Industries rock collection has the rocks neatly classified already. It gives the students a good example of how to identify and classify rocks. This is a good starting point for the students to start learning about the types of rocks. The Dancing Bear Rock & Mineral Collection Activity Kit and the Rock, Mineral & Fossil Collection Activity Kit will give the students hands-on experience in sorting, identifying, and classifying rocks in small groups. Having different types of collections wil meet the needs of the different level of the students. There will be enough rocks that the students will be able to work in small groups. These rock collections will make learning about rocks more meaningful and more fun.
