Welcome to our classroom! I teach an enthusiastic group of second graders who love learning and are always begging for more time to read! Our school is a Title 1 school in Houston, Texas with a diverse student population. Despite the obstacles many students face outside of the classroom, they enter my class each day with a smile, eager to learn. They know that "getting smart" takes hard work, and are committed and excited to learn each day. Our class motto is "100%" and they know that means that everyone must learn and hold each other accountable. My students love learning, but they need your support to provide crucial resources that will put them on the track to master second grade skills and build the path to college. Many of my students would be the first student in their family to graduate college, and I am excited about setting them up for success with your help!
