My first graders walk into my classroom daily with smiles on their faces and eager to learn. Making our classroom "home" a safe place where they can dream... become other characters, and visit other places like in their books. Experiencing the world through books and stories is what I want for my students. My students can't afford to buy books to read for pleasure. So to have a variety of read-along books- fiction and nonfiction, would be outstanding! We would be creating lifelong readers and learners. They would read and listen to the books on a CD player at our Listening Station. Many of my students crave reading informational text but can't yet. So having it read to them would be awesome! What a gift! My students need exposure to wonderful books- they can't without donors like you. Please help them experience the world through books!
