Flexible seating would benefit every single student in my class! It would give students numerous seating options. With flexible seating, students are encouraged to make choices that would benefit their learning. They can decide what location of the classroom best fits them, and choose to sit there. They can also evaluate what is most comfortable to them, and find a spot encouraging them to stay calm, focused, and productive. Flexible seating also gives students the opportunity to move around throughout the day, thus increasing blood flow, core strength, and oxygen to the brain. This new vision of seating allows students to build a sense of community within their classroom. Students share workspaces with their classmates, and are in an environment that encourages collaboration and communication with others. Flexible seating would not only benefit the students academically and physically, but it is something that they would enjoy. It allows students to have fun while learning, and be in a positive and open classroom environment.
