My students enjoy learning things. They also enjoy challenging activities. They love to feel success. When asked how they feel about school, many of my students express boredom. I have found that lessons that allow students to move around and talk to each other are the most engaging lessons. A classroom "Escape Room" would be the perfect set up to engage students in challenging work while encouraging collaboration and communication. Once students are "hooked" in a lesson, they begin to better retain the lesson content. Implementing "Escape Rooms" will allow the students to perform better in school, district, and state assessments.
