We have a lot of students who stay after school for homework lab, sports practices, clubs, etc. Some have to catch buses for home and it can be more than an hour ride. I've been supervising the after-school activities for many years, and students often ask me if I have extra snacks. I would love to send them on their way with easy-to-prepare meals or quick, nutrient-dense snacks for their next stopping point. Some students are so busy after school with various events that they don't get home until almost bedtime. This project is created to fuel their brains and their bodies after school, meeting their essential need for food.

About my class
