We have literacy and math whole-group lessons daily. I use the PA state standards core-curriculum as well as Creative Curriculum to develop fun and engaging lessons to help my students learn everything that is expected of them to enter kindergarten in the Philadelphia area. The alphabet letter-letter sound tubs will especially be helpful in learning our letter of the week and what the letter sounds like. The students can then play with them in centers and find the corresponding tub to their object. They can also use the alphabet maze and tracing boards to practice their fine-motor skills and continue recognizing their letters. My students love games so the magnetic shape sorting rods, plastic pattern blocks, and sorting/pattern folder games would help to spike their interest in age appropriate math concepts. We would really appreciate these new additions to our classroom.
