3D technology is a motivational tool for students by bringing images they have created to life. Students will use the 3D printer to create prototypes of their ideas, explore 3D geometry models, learn about fractions and area, and connect across curriculum standards by creating models that they have designed, i.e. Creek and Cherokee Native American scenarios with tools they used and models of their homes, open-ended challenges where they create inventions that will solve real-world problems, print physical maps of regions of states and countries, etc. Students will thrive being a part of 21st Century technology and innovation skills, as they prepare for careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. With continued technological advances, our students will benefit from learning about current technology, and develop the knowledge, skills, and passion to be the future leaders of innovative thinkers.
